Maryland fares worse than nation when it comes to foreclosures

Baltimore Business Journal reports: The number of home foreclosures filed in Maryland increased about 10.4 percent from June to July, exceeding the national average.

  1. Until principal reduction is utilized for qualifying borrowers, foreclosures will continue at high levels. Unlike foreclosure, deed in lieu & short sales, principal reduction does not impact neighbors or municipalities. Keeping folks in their homes, will prevent further erosion in home values.
